DESCRIPTION:The ISLA Gaia Research Center invites you to participate in the seminar “Data Science applied to Geographic Information Systems” as part of the master’s course in Web Technologies and Systems Engineering\, given by Paulo Figueiredo (PhD) / CEiiA. \nPaulo Figueiredo is a Business Development Manager and Technical Project Leader with expertise in data science for spatial information. His background is in aerospace and ocean engineering\, with several years of experience\, being the last ones in remote sensing technologies. He has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA\, focusing on turning advanced technologies into commercial solutions. His work highlights the use of data science in understanding and managing Earth’s resources. \nThe seminar takes place next Saturday\, April 13th\, starting at 10am. The seminar is given in English\, is free and online\, but registration is required. \nRegistration
